Clara Wicklund: Bass
Clara needed a change.
Clara, 16, of Marine on St. Croix, Minn. has been singing and playing music since she was 6 years old. As the daughter of renowned bluegrass musician Brian Wicklund, music and talent run in Clara’s genes.
Well-versed in the fiddle, Clara switched to playing bass when she was 13 years old because she was drawn by its deep, rich sound.
Plus, she says it’s fun to play.
Clara has been carrying the steady beat of Blue Hazard since 2008. Not only does she drive Blue Hazard with the bass, but she also sings. Clara’s voice pierces any audience with her soft and ethereal tone, which is often complimented by strong harmonies.
Clara is on record saying that playing in Blue Hazard is the “best job you could ever have.”
Clara is a proud member of Blue Hazard and waiting for the perfect time to unleash her genius original music.
